Plaza Allende Hotel

The rooms and shower were decorated really nicely, and the reception guy was super helpful. It's in a great spot near Zocalo and Palace de Bellas Artes, so I'd recommend it. Depending on where your room is, it can get a bit noisy. We found two bars tucked inside the hotel; some nights were loud until late, but I liked the vibe.

I found the reception staff acted as if helping was a favor, and I think they should put more effort into that shared responsibility. For a single night, the hotel is fine. My room was comfortable enough, nothing special, and there's a bar, so light sleepers should probably look elsewhere. It takes a long time for the water to come through, and a lot of it gets wasted.

The location is fantastic, with easy access to anywhere. Nearby restaurants mostly close at 8 pm, but there's a 24/7 ministry just two doors away and an Oxxo half a block down. Wi-Fi worked well, with a separate router on each floor, and the QR code and password are posted by the elevator exit. For 550, two people can get a king-size bed, which is excellent value, and I found the hotel comfortable, clean, and safe. There's an elevator. They won't enter your room to clean without permission, so you need to request it at reception. If you want cleaning every day, you have to ask for that too, then they'll do it automatically. The way this hotel is run may be different from what you're used to, so I checked things carefully before writing this. In my opinion, it's a very good option.

I'd recommend it for a stay during the week. On weekends the bars make it noisy, and personally I couldn't sleep very well.
