Hotel Plaza Revolución

The room was spacious and the location was great. Service, especially for a four star hotel, was really poor. That's about the only good I can say, and I wouldn't recommend it if good service matters to you.

Before booking, I would've expected more from a hotel breakfast included in the price. I reserved five nights with breakfast, then learned only after the confirmation that it meant juice or fruit, coffee or tea, and toast. Eggs and any protein cost extra. That felt very misleading and disappointing, especially for an international traveler. If they'd made the limits clear before I booked, I'd have picked another hotel.

I paid by credit card in October for a reservation for November 25, 2025, then my plans changed and I tried to cancel on October 28. The hotel only accepts cancellation requests by email, so I wrote, but nobody replied. Today, November 19, 2025, I emailed again and called. The young man at the front desk said the General Manager wasn't in and that he'd let her know when she returned to work. He said the money charged to my card would probably come back in 8 or 15 days after she processed the cancellation. This service doesn't feel honest or dependable. I just hope I get the full amount back.

The cleaning crew and bellboys were great, and the hotel was very clean and well located. Night reception was a different story. The staff there seemed a bit incompetent, and Emmanuel looked like he hated being there and put in the bare minimum. The beds weren't very comfortable, and the internet was pretty much nonexistent. For the price it's not awful, but if you need a comfortable stay and reliable Wi-Fi, consider another hotel.
