A great location, but this older rustic hotel needs renovation and is probably best for one or two nights. The couch and bed were hard and uncomfortable, there’s no heater for cold days, and the Wi-Fi was really slow. Sccep Nobody was there for check-in, so I waited 30 minutes. Nobody was there at checkout either.

For a very low price and with modest expectations, this is an appealing no-frills option. The rooms have a pleasant rustic feel. I was concerned that a window facing a shared balcony wouldn’t lock. The terrace was under construction, which made it awkward to find breakfast, though I didn’t hear any construction noise during my stay.

I was so fed up by the end that I’m not coming back. The service was terrible, the rooms were noisy, the fridge didn’t work, and we didn’t have enough towels. We also had to ask them to turn on the hot water. It started at the front desk. I asked the woman there to recommend nearby bars, and she smiled and told me to Google it. We had only one towel in the room, so I went out to ask for another for my wife. We saw a roach while showering, and on the second day I had to ask for more toilet paper because there was only one roll. On the third day, I tried to put some beers in the mini fridge, but it was broken. When I told some guys at the front, they didn’t try to check or fix it. They said it was too late and the hotel was full, so they didn’t want to wake the guests. The next day, they hadn’t even remembered to look at it. Next time we’ll look for another hotel in Reforma.

I didn’t feel like trying the breakfast. The staff did try to help and moved me to another room. That one was clean and mold-free, though it wasn’t much better otherwise. The first room had mold in the minibar, a curtain that didn’t cover the whole window, and a pillow without a cover. There were corridors at both the front and back, but neither window had a lock. The ironing board was damp, there was no fan or air conditioning, and the furniture was very old. Is that what a three-star hotel is supposed to be?
