Getting there by car and finding a place to park can be tricky, since this very hilly place has narrow roads. There's also some walking up and down stairs, though that's typical for Real del Monte. The location puts you right in the middle of everything. It's an old historic building with spacious rooms and comfortable beds, and every staff member was warm and accommodating.

It’s a clean, comfortable and economical place to use as a base while exploring this beautiful, historically interesting town. There’s no food at the hotel, but that’s fine with all the local restaurants around. Across the street is a great bar with light music, simple food, and locally made beer. Parking is a little awkward, and the entrance has steep steps, though there are some ramps on the stairs.

Walking around and getting lost in this beautiful Magical Town is a treat. The traditional architecture and old mining town atmosphere, shaped by English and Cornish miners, make it feel like traveling back in time. Try the pastes at Pastes Don Fidel, open since 1940, or eat at the Traditional Mercado, where the food is cooked after you order. You won't be disappointed. 😉

The town is amazing, and the staff tried hard to help us with everything, even though none of them spoke English. Our room, number 105, had what we needed: a clean, firm full-size bed, warm blankets, a dresser with a small safe, a bathroom with a hot shower, WiFi, and a TV we didn't use because it felt out of place. There's no mini fridge, so we brought our own cooler. They have secured parking, but it's a few blocks down the street. We loved the authentic old Mexico charm. The hotel is old but cute, clean, and cozy. The cracks in the walls and old towels other people mentioned are real, but we saw them as part of its charm. One suggestion for the hotel: replace the ugly front desk with a nice old wooden table and chair, and take down those awful pictures of Maralin Monroe in favor of old photos of your beautiful city. ;)

WiFi is weak in the rooms, but the upper-floor balconies have a nice view. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Being right in the city center makes it a good place to stay for getting around.
