Hotel Hacienda Prom

Really great.

Pretty nice.

I loved the little garden between the rooms and dining area, with its turtle pond and kids' play space. The hotel has a charming colonial look but still feels bright and fresh, and the spacious reception and dining room seem well suited for events. My room was spot on, very clean and well looked after. It took a little while for the hot water to come through, but there was plenty once it did, and it was nice and hot. This has become one of my all-time favorite hotels. I'll definitely come back and recommend it to anyone.

I liked the setup where each room sits above its own parking space. If you leave something in the car, you can just go downstairs instead of making the trip to a separate parking lot. Some people say it looks like a motel, but that layout worked for me. The room had a bit of a musty smell, though many houses along the Veracruz coast have that distinctive odor because of the climate. I brought my 10-month-old baby, and they asked for his ID under what they called a "child protection policy." I thought that was great. There were only two outlets for charging phones, so they could add more. I'd stay there again if I return to Mizantla.
