Taiyari Hostal is in a great location. That’s pretty much the only good thing I can say. The sheets are worn and have small holes, and some showers leak, leaving the shared floor wet all the time with nobody cleaning it. Rooms are bare bones: just beds, no hangers, chairs, or anywhere to put your things, and no windows. The worst part is the constant noise. Staff ignore quiet hours, the reception TV plays around the clock and connects to the other areas, and you can hear staff chatting through their night shifts because there’s no sound insulation. I’d hoped this might be somewhere to sleep while spending time in a nice part of the city, but it’s honestly impossible to fall asleep here.

We showed up without letting them know ahead of time, but they still found something that suited our needs. The place was pretty clean and quiet, and the service was great.

There are too many rules I’d never heard of, and the place doesn’t look like the pictures. The bathrooms are outside. And what they call breakfast is really just coffee and a piece of bread.

The people were really friendly and helpful. It’s cozy and feels safe, although the amenities aren’t perfect.

It includes breakfast and it’s cheap, though the place itself isn’t that nice.
