Hotel Diana del Bosque by DOT Urban

We were quite satisfied and plan to return if we’re in Morelia again soon. The restaurant had a great range of food, with good quality and generous portions, and the location suited our needs very well. The staff I met were amiable and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious, with good lighting and ventilation, an iron and ironing board, a safe, and enough hangers and shelving. A few things could be improved: there was no bottled water when we checked in, though they fixed that quickly, the door deadlock needed repair, and our bathroom could use more places to hang towels and clothes.

I stayed a few months ago and was really happy with the experience. The hotel was amazingly clean, and Lalo, a young man on staff, was always there to help with anything. It’s a walk to the center, but the staff can get you what you need if you ask. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and professional throughout.

I arrived in Mexico 8 days ago and wish I’d come across this place sooner. The rooms are spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable, with hot water in the shower. There’s a park across the street, free Wi-Fi, and it’s pet friendly. The attentive staff were amazing. The price for 2 rooms was quite reasonable, and the on-site restaurant served delicious food at fair prices.

We came back in August after enjoying our July stay, and the beds were still uncomfortable. That kept it at 4 stars for us. We tried the restaurant for dinner this time and loved it: I had a club sandwich and mushroom soup, my wife ordered chicken tacos, and we shared fresh squeezed lime juice. It wasn’t expensive, and it was probably the best food we had in Morelia on that trip. Definitely recommend both the hotel and restaurant. On our first visit, the staff were kind, informative, and helpful, and the outside looked about 8/10. The ground floor was very aesthetic, maybe 10/10, and the elevator was quiet and worked well. Parking was in the hotel basement, and my large van fit. We didn’t try the restaurant or room service that time. The room was over 30 square meters, with a king size bed that wasn’t very comfortable, a good TV with a clear picture, a desk and chair, and another lounge chair. There was no refrigerator, microwave, or coffeemaker, which would’ve been helpful. The iron was high quality and worked well, and we used the safe. The windows opened, with a mosquito screen for fresh air. There were no bugs. I liked the tile floor, like the one at home, since it’s easy to clean and cuts down on dust and mold. The shower was clean and roomy enough to move around in. The bathroom had enough light and a working hair dryer. The location was convenient for sights, restaurants, and government offices. I enjoyed my stay and would return.
