Scala Magna Suites & Villas

The restaurant was good, and its manager was very nice. The rest of my stay was terrible, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel. I was there after cosmetic surgery, and the front desk staff rolled their eyes when I asked for help with my key. It malfunctioned every day, so I needed help getting into my room each time, but they acted annoyed with me over the door problem. There were daily power outages, cigarette smoke from the room next door woke me up, and the gym was closed. The location isn't walkable either.

I almost felt stranded here. There was no hotel shuttle, and the neighborhood wasn't good for walking anywhere. The one convenient store a few hundred yards away had little selection. The room was comfortable, but there was no coffee pot, microwave, or refrigerator. The air conditioning was okay, but don't drink the water. Breakfast at the restaurant was okay; the rest of the food tasted awful. This place isn't what it advertises.

I had an incident unrelated to the hotel that left me in tears, and the staff were so kind to me, especially Gabriella. Thank you all for the wonderful service and compassion you showed me.

The rooms are very large and clean, and breakfast in the morning is great with good service. It's a good hotel, though perhaps not for everyone or every occasion.
