Best Western Plus Nuevo Laredo Inn & Suites

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a great view, and the bathroom was well equipped with everything working. Some details could use an update, but the place has a lot of elegant touches, including marble, from its days as the Crowne Plaza. It's a striking high-rise, and Best Western Plus seems to be managing it well. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The location worked well for me: HEB and Soriana are a couple of blocks away, with a Starbucks across the street. There's underground parking, and I felt safe there. I didn't use the pool or gym, though everything I saw looked nice. I also skipped breakfast after eating too many tacos late each night, but others told me the restaurant's breakfast is very good. Highly recommended.

Breakfast at the restaurant was the one part of the stay I enjoyed. The rest left me disappointed: the hotel and rooms felt dated and not very clean, as if they were overdue for remodeling. Even though the place was half empty, we still had to wait until 3 PM to check in. The elevators were also malfunctioning while we were there. I wouldn't come back unless they make significant updates.

Those beds are painfully hard. I won't book here again.

So far, this is the best hotel I've found in Nuevo Laredo. The rooms are roomy and comfortable, housekeeping keeps them to a high standard, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. There's underground parking on site, and plenty of restaurants and supermarkets within an easy walk. Great location too. I'll stay here on future visits.
