I was here for the Riviera Nayarit Ironman 70.3 and it was an easy walk to the race festivities. There are great restaurants within walking distance, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was great, especially eating on the patio by the pool. The entrance is gated with a guard, which made me feel safer. My bed wasn’t the softest, but it wasn’t terrible, just a heads up.

The breakfast was excellent, a nice extra. Our room was comfortable, the staff were fantastic and helpful, and the property was gorgeous and well maintained. We had a fantastic week and are looking forward to coming back.

Breakfasts were tasty, and the outdoor dining area was beautiful. We loved how clean and quiet it was, in a mellow neighborhood where we felt safely tucked away. There’s an excellent restaurant a very short walk away, and a beautiful public beach a little farther on foot. Even the crocodile was a pleasant neighbor.

The house has lots of character, with traditional Mexican design and decor, lush grounds, and friendly, helpful staff. It isn’t new, but it’s well kept and good value. Breakfast had plenty of variety and was all delicious. We only planned to stay one night, but Virgilio was so friendly and accommodating, sorting out a booking problem and making us feel welcome and relaxed. We’ve already come back for a second stay. I highly recommend Casa Virgilio.

We paid a very affordable $80 USD per night, but check-in takes cash in pesos only. Our room was on the ground floor with doors opening directly onto the pool, and it also had a small kitchenette. It was a large room with a king bed, ceramic floors, air conditioning, a ceiling fan, and a shower big enough to fit an elephant. The clean pool and hot tub are surrounded by lots of greenery. It’s a very nice bed and breakfast in a classically built Spanish style home.
