The bed was comfy and had a curtain, but I stayed only one night and the room was stuffy, with a somewhat noisy fan. The light was blocked by the top bunk, so there was basically no light. The shower was hot, though it was tiny, had nowhere to put clothes, and sprayed water everywhere. There's only one shower and one toilet on the ground floor, presumably shared by quite a few people if the hostel is full. Breakfast was coffee or tea, a banana, what looked like bagel bites, and crackers, not a real breakfast. Location wasn't great for me, a bit inconvenient and far from Xocalo and lots of Oaxaca's events. All rooms cost the same; I got one to myself. Booking directly through WhatsApp is cheaper, 400 MXN compared with 450 MXN on booking platforms.

It's a 10-15 minute walk from the centre, and the place is really clean, quiet and comfortable. I recommend it.

Since this was my first hostal stay, I don't know how fair my review is. The place was fine structurally and aesthetically, but I felt the staff weren't very attentive. They'd disappear for stretches and lock the doors while they were gone, which could be annoying if you came back at 3 AM and needed to get inside. The location was also disappointing for being near the heart of the action. The major sites weren't really a casual stroll away. If I return to Oaxaca, I'll pick a different hostal.

The rooms and terrace were great, and the place is very close to the bus station, about 20m. It's also very close to the centre, or kind of in it. Staff were super friendly and let me stay in the common area after check-out until my night bus came. Free hot and cold drinking water, free coffee in the morning, strong showers, and towels included. It was an amazing stay. One thing that could be better: some toilets didn't have toilet brushes, and a few clips for the terrace drying lines would be awesome. Still, it was close to perfect! :)

A super chill, private hostal. It was really clean, the beds were comfortable and private, and I typically had the room to myself. The wifi was very fast and reliable, and the boys who work there are very sweet :)
