Hotel Pabela

The location is handy, close to the Centro and right by the main road, but traffic and the nearby nightclubs make it noisy on weekends. The windows don’t block the sound. Cleaning could be better: the sheets were stained, and there was hair in the bathroom from the previous guests. When a family member had a plumbing problem late at night, they had to stay up an extra two hours while it was fixed instead of being moved to another room. Offering a different room right away would have been more hospitable.

If you only need somewhere to sleep, it might be fine. For anything beyond that, I’d look elsewhere. The rooms are far too small, and you can hear other guests talking, using the toilet, and coming and going. There’s just a bed, a tiny TV with about five channels, and a closet without doors. The toilet paper is the cheapest kind. The hotel looks good and clean, but the staff service is just bad. They aren’t exactly rude, but even a simple greeting seems like too much.

The room was very basic, and parking was a problem. There’s no refrigerator, coffee maker, elevator, or grab bars in the bathroom. There are also no exterior windows for an emergency exit. If there were a fire, I don’t see a safe way out.

It’s clean and nice, with a decent price, though the room is somewhat small. It should work for two people depending on what you book. I didn’t see an elevator, which was a bit disappointing. Aside from that, it’s a great place to catch some zzzzz’s.
