Hotel Río Maya

It's affordable and simple, and the location is good. The rooms could be cleaner, though.

The beds were comfortable, and I stayed here because I needed to catch a bus the next day. The bus station is only about 100 meters away, roughly a minute on foot. The staff were very friendly. It's a basic 3-star hotel, not a luxurious or unusual place. I found a few things that weren't great, but for the price, I didn't expect much. It worked for arriving, sleeping, and heading out, especially if you're just looking for a cheap place to sleep.

Being close to the ADO terminal is the standard room's main advantage. It's the cheapest choice, but quite worn down, with a mattress that feels like the springs are coming through and internet that doesn't work. The TV gets satellite channels and is fine. For a few hours or one night, especially on a tight budget, it works. I wouldn't recommend that room for a stay of more than a few days.

The room was clean, as earlier reviews said, and it was okay for one night. It is small, though, and the musty smell was strong, since the bathroom door opens into the bedroom.
