We gave the place another try because we didn't have much choice. This time, the grounds looked better, the pool was clean, and our room was much nicer, with everything working and no peeling on the walls or ceiling. Even so, it still wasn't worth $80 a night. I know hot showers aren't available everywhere in Mexico, but a hotel aimed at gringos and charging gringo prices should at least have hot water. It seems like this may once have been a beautiful hotel. The grounds are laid out nicely, but they're run down, and although the pool is nice, it isn't maintained. The rooms are average at best, with a lot of water damage on the ceilings and doors, a leaking toilet, and no hot water. If this were an economy hotel, that might be acceptable since it allows dogs. But it isn't, and we've stayed in dozens of much better hotels in Mexico for half the price or less. Definitely not worth the money, and I don't recommend it.

We spent one night in a Junior Suite with an ocean view. It was roomy, with two sofas, A/C, and a fan, and the neighborhood felt safe. The staff were helpful and nice, and breakfast was tasty. The place is pet friendly and has lovely greenery as well as parking onsite. We had a great stay.

I've been here many times, though I've never stayed overnight. The place feels very welcoming. There's a photo on this site that doesn't show it accurately. Maybe it was added here by mistake, or maybe not, but could you please tell me how to get it removed? Thank you!

The staff were the best part for me, friendly and always willing to help. We stayed for more than a week and found the hostel very clean and well looked after. Our room was nice and had an ocean view, and the swimming pool with its big outdoor sofa was just perfect. Probably one of the best places in acapulco. Highly recommended.

The older rooms can smell musty and have old-feeling mattresses, though this was only an issue in those rooms. The newer rooms are a better choice. The beds and bathrooms were clean, and the room cleanliness was acceptable, if not the best. The hotel gives you a jungle-like setting, with two small pools, parking, and dining tables. Its courtyards could use some care, since fallen leaves, branches, coconuts, and other bits of wood and trash made things feel neglected. Still, it's a good hotel, and for what I paid for my room, I couldn't ask for more.
