Quinta San Carlos Inn

For checkout, you have to hand over the key and remote, then wait for someone to inspect the room and sign off that it was left okay. If you're in a hurry to get on the road, that can hold you up badly. It's an okay place to spend the night and rest. The hotel seems old, and there aren't many parking spaces near the rooms. If they're taken, you have to leave your car on the other side of the office. On the plus side, it's about a seven-minute drive from the bridge, with easy access to main streets, restaurants, convenience stores, and pharmacies. Breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly.

We were told we'd torn a washcloth and wouldn't get our full deposit back, but we hadn't ripped it. I feel they made it up, and I'm sick of this kind of corruption. The bathroom door also locks you inside and is hard to get out of. We booked because we wanted to use the pool, but they wouldn't let us, saying the city had closed it. Don't stay at this corrupt hotel.

The buffet had about 20 items, with both Mexican and US-style breakfast, and we were allowed to take food back to our room for later snacks. It was served on real plates with glasses and silverware. Breakfast was amazing. The room was nice, and the happy hour, shower, AC, pool, and parking were all excellent. The staff did an excellent job using Google Translate so we could understand everything in English.

The room was nice for the price, but the 500 paso deposit held me up. It was after 6:30 and there was still nobody in the office to refund it, so I had to choose between waiting and giving up the deposit. I couldn't get the TV to work either. I'd stay again if I didn't need to leave early.
