The room itself was fine, clean enough, and as described. The air conditioning worked and the shower was hot. But the noise made it hard to sleep: the hostel sits by a bus junction with traffic all night, there was steady noise inside too, and music from the karaoke bar next door went on late. If a good night's sleep matters, I'd avoid it.

Raul, Miguel and the rest of the team were great, and they knock before going into the women's dorms, which isn't something every hostel does. The rooftop pool was warm from the heat. One of my best hostel stays, and I'd be back in a heartbeat.

We spent one night in a private room at this backpackers' hostel. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and things got quiet after midnight. The pillows weren't comfortable, though. Staff were friendly and helpful. More boomers than Gen Z.

The staff were really kind and helpful, but this isn't somewhere I'd choose if I needed sleep. There was no quiet time, with people passing through the corridor and going in and out of rooms all night, using those annoying beeping keypads. On top of that, loud music went on until 4 a.m. We couldn't even nap and were exhausted the next day. It could suit people there to party who don't mind staying up all night.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and really went out of their way for us. The rooms, kitchen and reception were spacious and clean, just like the Booking.com photos. The rooftop bar shown on Google is no longer there, but there's still a nice rooftop with a small pool, plus weekday morning yoga sessions for a small extra fee. It's about a five-minute walk to the ferry and beach. It beat my expectations, and I'd definitely return to the area.
