Getting in was easy, even with my midnight arrival, and being near the ADO station was convenient. But the apartment was uncomfortable. It smelled unpleasant, from the bed and water to the laundry and the rest of the space. There were odd stains on the bed and towels, and bugs when I arrived. The Wi-Fi barely worked, there was trash in the hallway, and both the AC and outside noise were loud. The bathroom tap had no water, and there was no toilet seat. It was technically clean, but for a restful night I’d stay somewhere else.

The room was spacious and had a hot shower, but the bed wasn’t very comfortable. Light came in through the kitchen windows, which had no curtains, and bothered us. It’s very close to the ADO bus terminal, with the ferry and restaurants within walking distance. Getting in was a hassle because the shop where we were meant to pick up the key was closed. We thought the room cost too much compared with other places we’d stayed.

Fine for a night if you just need to be close to ADO, but communication was awful. We waited almost half an hour for someone to bring a key so we could get in, and the lockbox didn’t work because there was no key. The linens had red stains and felt kind of sketchy, and the bathroom stank. You get what you pay for, and it was good enough for one night near the bus station.

The rooms were clean and the location was great, though they didn’t look much like the photos online. Communication can be a bit difficult if you don’t speak Spanish.
