Ano is one of my favorite condominiums in PDC, absolutely spectacular! The units are big, and the PH units are sweet. There’s a serious, spacious gym with weights and good machines, plus a yoga and fitness room, business center, and kids' room. The rooftop pool and big jacuzzi are stunning, and there's a residents' lounge with tables, chairs, and sunbeds. A ramp serves wheelchair users, and the elevator runs from the underground parking all the way to the rooftop pool. The staff are professional, and the security and registration desk are great. It’s a wonderful place to stay and could be a good investment too. I'll definitely return!

The location is excellent, and the staff are lovely. The pool is beautiful, and the gym is clean and well equipped. I've stayed in several rooms; some were in better condition than others, but they were all really nice. Wi-Fi was strong enough for video calls in each one.
This was a nightmare. In my 60 countries of travel, I've never experienced security this controlling or threatening. My guest was registered with me, but security wouldn't let her leave the building with her bike to go to work. We told the guard that, as registered guests, we had the right and freedom to leave the property. He answered in Spanish, “You're in Mexico, I'm the boss, and it's my rule. What's your problem?” He repeated it five times, followed us back to the unit, and slammed my door while I was scared to open it. Even a neighbor was concerned enough to come ask if I was okay. At this point I don't care about the reservation. I had to leave a review about this awful experience at ANAH. No wonder so many properties here on Airbnb have 20% discounts and three-star ratings. Still not worth it.
The place itself is pretty nice, but a doorman gave me a lot of hate and told me to go back to my country because I was in the gym after 9 p.m. I spoke to him calmly since the gym staff had said residents could use it after hours. He acted as if he had full authority, turned off the lights, and threatened to throw away my belongings if I didn't leave right away. Within two minutes, it had become “get out or I'll throw your stuff right now.” A-nah should consider hiring a doorman without anger and intimidation issues. People are here on vacation, after all.
We spent a week in Playa del Carmen and stayed at an Airbnb here. The free parking garage is always guarded. At first we had trouble finding the entrance, but there are two options: the front entrance or the entrance to the underground garage on the right. It's about a seven-minute walk to 5th Street, with lots of good restaurants and shops nearby.
