Blue Angel

We had to find another hotel after arriving to learn that the room we booked, with a balcony and kitchen, would not be available for seven days. The room they showed us was far below what we had reserved. Its old curtains couldn't be opened for daylight without exposing us to people walking past in the corridor, there was no balcony or terrace, and it had neither the table nor plastic chairs found in other rooms. The window faced a large wall, with hotel lights shining straight into the bedroom. We were told by phone that we could leave and receive a refund for our 10-day booking. The owner never returned any of the money, despite that promise. I warn people against booking here. The hotel does not honor its agreements.

A cozy little place about a block from the main pedestrian street and not too far from the beach. We stayed nearly a week as a family of four. Everyone came down with the flu or something, so we got to know the place pretty well. The staff work hard and are kind and understanding.

Quiet spot close to 5th avenue, and the pool was a plus. The place was clean, roomy, and fully furnished, with a fridge, stove, TVs, air conditioning, a couch, and a bar table with chairs. For what it is, fantastic. I'd go back without a second thought.
