Hotel Casa De Las Flores

The staff are lovely and helpful, and the location gives good access to both town and beach. But the hotel sits between a large construction site and two bars playing very loud music. Excavation and piling make it impossible to rest during the day. Music stops at 0100, but depending on your room, sleeping at night can still be difficult. Breakfast is included through a restaurant deal, but the food was like prison food and the place didn’t seem hygienic. Better to book the room only. This is a hard review to write.

A lovely, beautiful hotel right in the city center. It was clean and comfortable, and everyone was kind and helpful. The pool was great on warm days.

A characterful little hotel with really comfortable beds and bedding. The AC worked well, and I appreciated having water and coffee at reception.

The room was big and clean, the bed comfortable, and the hotel grounds and pool were clean too. The whole setup felt homey. It’s in a great location, about a 10-minute walk downtown, with restaurants all around and pharmacies, convenience stores, and banks nearby. Xcaret pick-up and drop-off spots are about a 10-15-minute walk away. There’s a restaurant(?) next door that plays loud music at night, but I barely heard it in bed. Staff were helpful. They warmed my food in the microwave in the common area and helped me book a taxi. A drinking water cooler is available for filling reusable bottles, for drinking and brushing teeth. I wish there had been water bottles by the sink and a clear sign explaining whether tap water was safe for brushing teeth. The swan towel decoration used the same towels guests were meant to dry off with, and I’d have preferred separate ones. The room safe didn’t work, and I couldn’t find a hair dryer. Other guests sat in the sitting area outside my room on early morning phone calls, speaking loudly enough to disturb me. I’m not sure how the hotel could have stopped that, aside from having a sitting space by every room or keeping it to a shared general area, and I can’t really blame the hotel for one person being inconsiderate. Those were minor issues and didn’t truly affect my stay. I recommend staying here.
