As someone who gets stressed about landing and being set up for work on time, I feel that worry melting away here. The courtyard is peaceful, and it’s quiet because you’re outside the party district, though you can walk into town easily. It’s also close to a co-working spot I’m going to check out tomorrow. I’m here as a digital nomad, so reliable internet matters. Over 30 Mbps is enough for my screen sharing meetings on Teams, and 200 Mbps or more is fantastic. I messaged the office on WhatsApp before arriving with my arrival time, and they told me to message if there were any problems. Signs also show the WhatsApp details, so communication was clear. They sent several videos with way more detail than I needed, which was reassuring. There’s a standard lockbox outside and a separate, unique one for the room. Both locks work smoothly, and one video even walks you through the courtyard into the room. They sent the Wi-Fi details for my room in advance too, so I wasn’t left stuck. For a digital nomad, this is a 12/10.

This is my favorite place in the whole Riviera Maya, and I’ve stayed many times. Each room is beautiful and has its own character. The palapa is kept up so well, and I love the sound it makes in the wind and rain. Having a full kitchen is great. The location is excellent, near a lovely coffee shop and a park. I wish every city had a hotel like this.

There are a couple of things you only find out after paying. Pool hours are very limited: the Spanish information says 8, and the English says 9, with closing at 6. It was frustrating to be told at 8 that I had to wait until 9 to use the pool, when most of the shade is already gone by then. The shaded morning hours are also taken up by cleaning, even when no cleaner is around. For people with little melanin, the pool has 25-50% shade until about 9, then again after 4, so you have to wait until the end of the day for shade.

The building was amazing and stayed pleasantly cool despite the heat. My room was very clean, and staying here felt special. I also loved the refreshing pool. Had a great time here.
