Hotel Boutique Rato 10

My room was so quiet, even with the hotel right among the beach, cafes, restaurants, and shops. I couldn’t hear the street at all, and the huge bed was really comfortable. There was hot water, fans, and AC, and the staff were kind and helpful. The rooftop is AMAZING, with a beautiful pool, places to work on my laptop, and lovely lounge spots where I could take in the breathtaking view. My room internet was consistently great, and the shower pressure was strong and adjustable. I loved this hotel and look forward to coming back to Playa. Thanks to everyone who made my stay special!

I booked through AirBNB, though this is also a hotel. We arrived at 4:50pm and were told the room wasn’t ready, despite selecting 3-5:00pm on Air BNB. They said it would take another hour and a half; we finally got in at 6:30pm. After a long travel day, that was unacceptable. The staff were nice, but sound carried through the thin walls and doors. We heard the elevator from our room and were woken several times each night by the people next door. We’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels and Air BNBs without noise problems like this. The beds only had sheets, no blankets, and just two pillows. We asked for a blanket, but none were available on site. Everywhere else we’ve stayed in Mexico had one. We wouldn’t return or recommend it.

A dreary place for middle-aged guests with low expectations. The rooms face the hallway. The small hot-tub-sized pool feels dirty and cramped if anyone else is in it. The beach was covered in seaweed, so this was the only place to swim, or sit in dirty water. Nearby places are much better. There’s no bar and no room fridge. I’ll pick somewhere else next time in PDC.

Large rooms, a rooftop pool, and pleasant staff. You can walk to the beach and town center in just a few minutes. What’s not to like?
