Hotel Hulku

The rooms are a little dated, but still nice, and we had a great stay. Breakfast was fresh and very good. I loved the lush green pool area too. It can get noisy in the evenings. A big thank you to Omar, who's wonderful, friendly, and always helpful. He deserves a big raise and should become a manager! Sadly, the rest of the reception team, including the manager, weren't very polite or friendly.

I booked this hotel because it advertised parking, so it was a real letdown to be told at check-in that the lot was full and I should look for a space on the street. My car was broken into within an hour of parking there, and belongings were stolen. A little later, staff told me a spot had opened up, and I was able to move into the hotel lot. I appreciated eventually getting a space, but the experience was very unpleasant. The music was loud and the rooms were small, too.

We regretted not choosing an all-inclusive place. My kid was seriously disappointed, though we were thankfully busy with activities and didn't spend much time at the hotel. Some nearby places looked like much better family options. The pool felt decorative, the rooms were cramped, and breakfast was a letdown: waiting until 7:30-7:50am for coffee, then another 20 minutes for fruit and yogurt, was ridiculous. Receptionist Jose was especially rude, and the place fell far short of the hype.

The rooms were tidy and clean, and the greenery was fantastic. There is a live music bar across the street, so evenings can be a little noisy. They play great music, though, which is a plus if you enjoy it.
