Hotel Marinelly

This is where we tend to stay whenever we need a place in Playa. There's usually a room available, and the staff are very nice and helpful. The rooms are plain but roomy, with comfortable beds, and WiFi is free. It's near 5th Ave and ADO, and there's security around the clock.

I only stayed one night, and I won't be back. The hotel needs a lot of updating, and given its condition the already low nightly rate should be lower. The A/C couldn't keep up with the heat, and the beds were uncomfortable. They gave me just one towel and a bar of rendered soap.

I come back here every time I'm in Playa. Rooms cost about $20 a night, and they're spacious and clean, with a TV, AC, and fridge. If you're trying to stick to a budget and still sleep comfortably, I'd recommend it.

For the price and location, this hotel is decent. It's two blocks from 5th ave, and my room even had a small fridge. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful.
