Hotel Playa Encantada

I wouldn’t give this place even one star if I had a choice. I paid 800 pesos a night, more than the 600 pesos I’ve spent on much cleaner, safer Airbnbs, for a stay that was unacceptable from beginning to end. I woke up with bites and found signs of bedbugs, a serious hygiene and health problem. Then the toilet started leaking water onto the floor from above. It wasn’t an overflow, just a leak that left a slippery, unsanitary mess. I want a full refund. Other travelers should avoid this property until it’s thoroughly cleaned, treated for pests, and properly maintained.

The pool was a standout, sunny all day and still warm and inviting after sunset. Getting checked in was quick and easy, and the rooms have air conditioning and a fridge, both useful in the heat. There’s also parking on site if you’re driving. The location made errands simple, with Walmart a short walk away and another grocery store two blocks from the property. On weekday mornings, Monday through Friday, a vendor on the corner sells fresh juice, which was a refreshing way to start the day. For the price, this is a hidden gem and great value. I’d highly recommend it to travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and affordability.

Safe place with a pool, very clean and affordable. The beach is a reasonable distance away, not too far.

David at reception made the biggest impression on me. He was friendly and professional, and went out of his way to make everything easy and pleasant. Everyone on staff was welcoming and accommodating, and I really appreciated their service. At Playa Encantada Hotel in Playa del Carmen, I found the rooms clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The atmosphere was relaxing, and the location made it easy to enjoy the city. I had a fantastic stay and would gladly return. If you want comfortable rooms and top-notch service, I highly recommend it.
