Hotel52

Basically a very nice hotel, and I can highly recommend it. The main issue is the lack of maintenance, since they could do more with the place. Our room didn’t have any toiletries like shampoo or shower gel, and there was no hair dryer either. For a 4* hotel, those should be included as standard.

The rooftop pool was nice, and breakfast was delicious. I also liked the location, just off 5th ave and close to the public beach. It’s a quaint, simple hotel, not a resort, but decent for the price. The concrete building made it surprisingly quiet. I never heard anyone walking in the halls or above me. The room was simple but nice, and everything was very clean. I didn’t see any bugs anywhere, and there was no mold. The staff were quiet but nice; when I smiled and said hello, everyone smiled and said hello back. The one thing I missed was bottled water in the room.

There’s a pretty jungle-like garden on the first floor, and the rooftop pool is great for a swim or just being outdoors. Breakfast up there is plentiful and delicious, with views of the ocean and city. The staff are kind and helpful. The location is perfect for me, close to the beach and just steps from 5th avenue for food and shopping. It’s safe and quiet at night. The beds are clean and really comfortable, and I like the minimalist furniture and concrete floors. Bathroom water pressure is great, though it’s a little cold, which feels refreshing after a day in the sun.

The location is great, but the room is very basic. There was no fridge, the AC didn’t work properly, and it didn’t look like the photos online. The shower door sticks, so it feels like you might not be able to get out. We’ve been here since Saturday, and it’s Monday now, but our room still hasn’t been cleaned or the beds made. Someone, apparently housekeeping, came in last night and left a towel in the sink without cleaning the room. Today they came in again, took the towels and didn’t leave replacements or make the bed.
