I really like this neighborhood. It’s near Walmart and there are some really cool restaurants with good prices just off 5th Avenue!

Communication with Lupita was very poor, and the apartment felt very low end. The beds and sofa were uncomfortable, the towels were old, and the linens smelled. We had plumbing trouble, including a plugged toilet, and the water filter was so dirty that the water in it looked like sewage. Apt 102A needs a lot of upgrades. I had a miserable two weeks there. The second bedroom had a glass wall and door, so light came in whenever the kitchen or dining area lights were on or the TV was running. The cable took a week to get fixed. Until then, the internet and Wi-Fi were useless, so I couldn’t watch TV or send messages on my phone. Do not book this apartment!

The hot water problem wasn’t fixed until we’d already been there for five days. The host also kept playing games with us throughout the stay. When we landed, we were told we couldn’t check in because the apartment had no water. We were sent to a supposed “sister hotel,” but that reservation turned out to be fake. Don’t use Rent by Stella services. This was the worst experience I’ve had, even though I travel a lot, and I came home sick after what was meant to be a winter break vacation.

The location made this building really convenient. 5th and 10th Ave are within walking distance, Walmart is two blocks away, the beach takes about five minutes to reach on foot, and there are local places to eat nearby. My partner and I stayed several days and enjoyed it. The place was clean, had good amenities, and the staff were very friendly. We’d stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a place in Playa.
