La Hacienda Hotel, at Xcaret

The owner and host Glen was the best person I met on my whole vacation, and the best host I've ever had. The place was immaculate, and I highly recommend it. It's right next to xcaret park.

The Hacienda was a lovely place to stay, and we felt welcome from the start. We’d happily come back. It’s especially handy for visiting the Xcaret parks, including xsenses and xplore. There aren’t many restaurants nearby, though: there are two, one for breakfast and one for dinner. Both were good, but plan ahead and bring things like water for later park visits. The property is built around the natural setting, so monkeys, lizards, and other animals can come quite close, even by your window. If you’re comfortable around wildlife, it’s a great fit.

Coming back from long days at the parks to this peaceful spot felt wonderful. Mornings were just as lovely, with coffee, birdsong, monkeys moving through the trees, and lizards sunning themselves. The Hacienda sits among lush greenery and wildlife, and the grounds are kept in excellent condition. The people there are warm and welcoming, too. It’s a relaxing, charming place, and I’d gladly encourage others to stay.

The owner was incredibly kind and made sure all of us felt welcome and looked after. I stayed here in February with my grandson and his parents, and it turned into an AMAZING experience for the whole family.
