Live Aqua Boutique Resort Playa del Carmen All Inclusive - Adults Only

The food service could be really slow, especially for an all-inclusive resort. We waited at least half an hour for meals, and more than once they didn't have enough of what we'd ordered. The place itself was beautiful, and the rooms were comfortable. The beds and shower were my favorite parts. The workers were friendly, though sometimes so friendly that they made fun of guests.

The rooftop pool and bar made it easy to enjoy our lazy days, and we had beautiful sunrises from the balcony. The service was impeccable, the food was excellent, and the whole place was amazing. It was our first time in Mexico, and staying at Live Aqua made us sure we'd return. We can't imagine staying anywhere else. We loved the experience so much that we didn't want to leave.

The rooftop pool and lounge were my favorite, with a great view of the surrounding area. The hotel is also in a convenient spot close to restaurants and attractions. Food and drinks are included, and both were very good. My room had a balcony, lots of space, a big comfortable bed, and an amazing shower. One of the best hotel stays I've had, and I'll definitely come back to Aqua if I'm in town again.

The hotel and staff were great, and all four of us, moderately picky adults, were happy with our stay. The building is modern, with large, well-designed rooms, and we found the food very decent. The rooftop pool, bar, umbrellas, and plenty of loungers help make up for the limited beach access. This isn't beachfront, and the beach choices are limited and not great, so it may not suit you if a private beach matters. The hotel is right on pedestrian-only 5th avenue, with crowds and music. Ask for a room on the other side of the building if you'd like to avoid the noise and lights. The gym is small. I only saw someone else in it once during our seven days, and it's not enough for a gym rat, though it works if you're willing to scale back your workouts on vacation.
