The hanging Vines were gorgeous, the room had lovely decor, and I was glad to have a little balcony. The hotel is beautiful and close enough to walk to all the sites. The receptionist welcomed us warmly and was happy to help. The shower was the one letdown. At first we couldn’t get hot water. One staff member came to the room and said it was hot, even though it was definitely cold, lol. Then a lovely maintenance man stayed with us until it warmed up and explained that it takes about 10-15 minutes of running the water. After that, we just turned it on a few minutes before showering and it was fine for the rest of the stay. The shower head was quite calcified and could use replacing. The pressure and flow weren’t ideal, but were okay for a short visit.

It’s quiet here but still close to restaurants, shops, and nightlife. Great location just off 5th Avenue, and the public beach access is about a five-minute walk away.

The hotel staff were completely unhelpful. We arrived with my kiddo and asked to use the restroom, but they wouldn’t let us in. That’s pretty uncivilized for a service business.

I booked six nights directly through the website. Everything you might want is within walking distance, since the hotel is one block from the main tourist area. There’s no elevator, but it only has three levels, so you won’t have to carry your bag very far. It was quiet at night except for one evening when the hostel next door played loud music from 5pm until 3am.

The rooms were nice, and the rooftop pool was clean and quiet. The beach is a short walk away. But the hot water was a real problem: it came out as a trickle and then stopped. At $120 USD a night, I expect hot running water in the room. When I asked at the front desk, they just told me to try again in 10 minutes and offered no compensation. Be ready for cold showers. I can’t recommend a hotel that gets the basics wrong.
