+ Big room + Nice receptionists + Safe in the room + Hot shower, though it takes a really long time to get hot - The music is so loud it literally makes the room shake. Impossible to sleep. - Ants The shower drain was clogged before we even used it, full of disgusting stuff, and nobody took care of it.

The rooms are tiny, but fine if all you need is somewhere to stay, and the price is good. The mattress was really hard and uncomfortable, though. You’re right on Fifth Avenue, with everything nearby, the beach just steps away and the ADO bus station a few blocks off. At night it can be incredibly noisy, like the party is happening in your room. It’s on top of Cerveceria Chapultepec. If you’re here to party and don’t mind the noise, this is the place for you!

The room is smaller than it looks in the pictures, and breakfast is basic. The price is okay, though. It’s pretty much in the middle of Playa del Carmen’s nightlife, so anyone looking to party and sleep in the morning may like it. Otherwise, expect to be awake all night and hate the place. It wasn’t for me, but that’s just my opinion.

I booked through an app and everything went smoothly. The price I got made the stay well worth it. The hotel has a beautiful, old-fashioned cultural style, with details and a location I appreciated. It wasn’t the usual Sheraton, Marriott, or four-star experience, but it put us right in the middle of things. From the balcony we could see quite a lot, and the beach was only steps away. The bus and boat were a five-to-nine-minute walk up la quinta ave. Evert at the front desk and Jacenia, the housekeeper, were hospitable and accommodating all week. The shower had hot water and good pressure, the AC and fans worked well, and housekeeping did a good job, even mopping the floor. Police cleared the streets around 3ish. I’d just watched Encanto, so I enjoyed the whole place, lol. They only gave us one key, and there was no microwave. I usually prefer quiet, but the outdoor music and activity didn’t bother me. I put in earbuds with ocean and thunder sounds and fell asleep easily. For the deal I got, it definitely deserves five stars.

We left early and moved to another hotel. The electronic music was far too noisy, and this isn’t a three-star hotel. Breakfast was terrible, just slices of bread with jam, and the lady was washing dishes in a Vileda Bucket. The room wasn’t clean, especially the shower, which had green limescale all over.
