This is about apartment 301, booked through Vrbo. The apartment itself was clean and spacious, in a good spot close to 5TH avenue and the beach. The pool was very nice and the view was beautiful. Mr. Karl provided laundry service and changed the sheets and towels, although the listing said there would be a washer and dryer. There were towels and toilet paper, but no body soap or shampoo. The shower water ran so slowly that we spent too much time showering. The kitchen needs more utensils. The stove has four burners, but only one worked properly. One had a very low flame, and the other two went out as soon as I tried to light them, almost as if there were gas leaks. The parking was a major problem. The description said parking was included with the rental, but on our first Saturday, Mr. Karl told me to park on the street because the building's lot was too narrow. He hadn't given me the garage remote at check-in, and I forgot to ask. I texted that afternoon to ask how to get the car in. He said he was out of town and would bring the remote at 10 am Sunday. I waited until then, messaged him when he didn't arrive, and waited almost two more hours. We lost nearly half a day waiting. Almost seven hours later he replied that his wife had lost the remote and said he would request another. We rested at the apartment all day Monday while waiting for an update, and had to pay for 12 hours of parking because nothing was resolved. On Tuesday he said they didn't have a remote and had already "requested a new one." We heard nothing Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. We got back with my family at midnight Friday and rested Saturday morning because we were exhausted. When I woke up, my car had been immobilized over just 15 minutes of unpaid parking, even though I had been paying every morning. I had to pay a 580 pesos penalty. That wouldn't have happened if we could have used the included parking. By Sunday we still hadn't been given access to the lot, and had paid more than 600 pesos for parking despite having reserved parking.
