Hotel Nautilus

The place looks small at first, but inside I saw how they fit in lots of rooms. The nicest guy greeted us and helped with check-in, and we had a nice chat. Our room was spacious, with two beds, and everything was clean. We got lucky with a balcony overlooking the pool.

The room was big, the bed was comfortable, and the location in the city was good. The shower had good pressure and the water got very hot. But it was dirty. I don't understand how this hotel has such a high rating or how so many reviewers say it's clean. There were dirty stains on the sheets and towels, and the room hadn't been cleaned properly. There was poo in the toilet that hadn't been flushed, so the cleaners hadn't even noticed it. The AC smelled bad when it was on, there was a little black mold in the ceiling corners, and the mosquito screen was broken. It was also VERY noisy. I know it's in the middle of the city, but the room isn't sealed properly. There's a gap about 0.5 cm wide along almost the whole right side between the doorframe and wall. You can clearly see outside light through it after closing the door, and a lot of sound comes in too.

The staff are friendly and speak English well, and the location is great. The rooms are very spacious, though not fancy. Some things in the hotel feel outdated and noisy, and the area can be a bit noisy too. I had no issues with the AC, shower or beds.

The location worked perfectly for us, with everything we wanted within walking distance. The staff were amazing and the room was big and very clean. There's a pool, plus Wi-Fi, a TV, coffee and tea downstairs, bikes for rent, and a hair dryer if you ask. Highly recommend!
