Pueblo Escondido 205 by Riviera Rentals

For an affordable apartment-style hotel, this was even better than I expected. My family loved it. The rooms were big and clean, with comfortable large beds and crisp sheets and towels. The staff were friendly, and it’s a short walk to everything. We had fun at the pool and kayaking around the lagoon. The kitchen was well stocked, so we cooked breakfast every morning. We also rented a golf cart to get to the beautiful big beach and restaurants.

Puerto Aventuras was wonderful to explore. There’s a grocery store just outside the neighborhood and smaller ones downtown. We could walk to the dolphin bay and watch the dolphins playing and doing tricks during the day, then resting at night. It was incredible to eat at a restaurant overlooking the bay. A Coral Maya team member also showed us the caleta, another inlet with great snorkeling and swimming and a calmer bay thanks to the rocks around it. Our favorite thing was the inlet connecting to the ocean. We had free, unlimited use of kayaks and a paddleboard, and went toward the beach every day. We saw tons of marine life, including octopus, eels, and beautiful tropical fish while snorkeling. The water stayed gorgeous and warm even at the end of December. We could use the beaches at Catalonia resort and Dreams resort, side by side, with big rocks creating calm bays that were easy to swim in. That’s my favorite kind of beach. We were never told to leave, since beaches are public property. The kitchen and appliances in our room meant we didn’t have to eat out if we didn’t want to. The place was exceptionally clean and well maintained, and every staff member we met was friendly, helpful, and committed to good service. The food was very good with plenty of variety. The spa was peaceful and relaxing, and we loved both the hydrotherapy and couples massage. The staff were professional and the experience felt luxurious and rejuvenating. We spent two wonderful weeks at Dreams Aventuras for our wedding. From the moment we arrived, everyone went above and beyond to welcome us and make the stay enjoyable. Our wedding coordinator, Fernanda, was fantastic: professional, organized, attentive to every detail, and made sure the day ran smoothly from start to finish. We could relax and enjoy the celebration. Our wedding exceeded expectations, and the stay gave us memories we’ll keep for a lifetime. It was my first time here, and I’ll definitely come back, perhaps every time I visit Riviera Maya. We’d highly recommend it for a destination wedding or a relaxing vacation. For the price and location, we’d totally stay here again. It felt safe, and Puerto Aventuras was great. The kids loved the pool, and the lagoon was beautiful. We liked having kayak access, though only one was available at the time. There’s a gorgeous beach just a 3 minute walk away. Our two-bedroom place almost worked like a three-bedroom, since folding doors closed off the sofa trundle bed. The downsides: the air conditioning took a while to cool everything down, the buildings, pool, and game room were old and a little run down, and our friends’ room had ants.

The condo/hotel was comfortable and affordable, in a beautiful, secure area. We had a nice vacation, and all the staff were great. Saul was especially professional and helpful whenever we had a concern. There’s a small beach a few minutes’ walk away and a nice, big outdoor pool that stays open until 10 pm.
