After living here for almost a month, I wouldn't want to live here or buy a unit at a high price. It looks nice on a quick walk-through, and some people may not mind the problems, but there are a lot of them. The homes and shared areas look new, but the construction quality is poor and not what I'd expect from something new in the United States. Our toilets and kitchen faucet don't work properly, and a neighbor's leaking toilet keeps their pump running. Water comes from yard cisterns, and the pumps aren't enclosed. When ours or a neighbor's switches on, it makes a loud vibrating noise that wakes us at night and early in the morning, carries on during the day and shakes the house. Enclosing them might reduce the noise, though the vibration would still reach the walls. Getting to the parking spot means driving over a curb. We have a corner unit, so getting in and out is awkward, and there's no street parking for us. Concrete tree holders in the street make driving and parking harder too. The trash area is outside the complex, so people often put their garbage on their car hood and drive it out. Gross and annoying. Still, it's a pretty nice place for families, and we met and enjoyed the community. Those are the good parts.
