Hotel Riu Tequila - All Inclusive

There was so much to choose from here, with activities, shows, bars, and places to eat, and I would gladly return. The property looked clean and well kept, not run down or dated, and the bright main dining room and specialty restaurants offered plenty of good food. We had asked for a room near the restaurants and main building, and got one. It was spacious and clean, and a porter brought our bags up. We arrived several hours before check-in after spending the previous 3 weeks elsewhere. The front desk staff were very friendly, gave us a welcome drink, and let us use the facilities while we waited, even though the room wasn't ready, as expected. Our bracelets were issued, and they emailed us an hour before check-in time to say the room was ready, so we didn't need to keep checking. The beach shuttle was great, and staff everywhere, including dining and housekeeping, were consistently friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend the resort and definitely plan to come back.

The beach was lovely, with really clear water, and the beach club buffet meant we could have lunch right there. It's about a 10-minute walk along a straight path between the resorts, shaded for most of the way, or you can take the shuttle that comes every 10 minutes. We also had great food, fun activities, and very nice staff. Great resort!

The room was the problem for me. After long days, the bed wasn't very comfortable, and the shower door wouldn't stay shut, so water flooded the bathroom floor every day. I slipped and fell near the toilet. Maintenance came quickly, but said they couldn't fix the door. I was staying for 6 days, and the fall happened less than 48 hours after check-in. I already had hip issues, and now I'm so sore I can barely leave my room. Luckily, the clinics and pharmacy were quick and easy to access for pain relief. The staff themselves were amazing, and check-in was the fastest I've ever had. The location is great for getting to the beach and shopping, and there are lots of delicious food options. It felt like a cruise ship on land. The nightlife sounds great from my room, and I hope to come back soon to enjoy it and try one of their other properties.

We loved the natural areas and wildlife, and there were plenty of pools, great entertainment, and swimming and activities for families. Food and drinks were always nearby. The beach is accessible by a short walk or a long golf cart ride. The resort was very clean and well run, and all the staff were wonderful. Margarita, our housekeeper, was the best and made awesome towel animals for my daughter. Arturo at the buffet was amazing too. This was our second visit, and we can't wait to come back. AWESOME for families!
