The apartment was affordable, which is why I gave it three stars. Inside, it was functional and even nice, but there were some real drawbacks. Workers next door were jackhammering the outside wall of our room, making it impossible to have a phone conversation indoors. The place is near touristy 5th avenue, but in a much less appealing part of town that didn’t feel very safe. There was also a dog in another apartment barking all night. Maybe that wasn’t the apartment’s fault, but with no receptionist or manager there at night, nobody could deal with it. Just acceptable, and I won’t come back.

So many problems. We had no water for 12 hours, the washing machines were out for three days, and maintenance came into our room every day. The AC only worked about half the time, there was no security guard despite it being advertised, and the pool closes for 24 hours once a week. Cockroaches everywhere, and no hot water in the rooftop shower. At nearly $3,000 a month there are endless better options. I’d stay somewhere else. RUN AWAY!

The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and spoke English really well. My room was spacious and bright, and everything was just right. I had a pleasant stay here and would recommend it if you want a cheaper place with high standards.

I’m sure what was worse, the poor customer service, the “host” yelling at me, or him lying about guests still being in the room I’d booked. It was shocking and disappointing, and it ruined our vacation. We ended up scrambling to find somewhere else at the very last minute. This has to be the worst place I’ve ever stayed. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else if you want to enjoy your vacation.
