We ended up in a suite with a king size bed, a working hot water tank, a sound bedroom lock, and a better WiFi signal after the housekeeper helped get things moving. The staff showed us three rooms we could switch to, and we appreciated that. Still, the building's internet was spotty throughout our eight days, and it wasn't reliable. The rooms are spacious, nicely laid out, and generally clean, but some basics were missing, like a dish for the bar of soap and a kitchen towel. Fans and vents needed more attention, and some curtains and light colored sofas looked stained or dirty. There were several problems when we first arrived: the main condo and bedroom door locks had big holes around them and could be wiggled, which didn't feel safe. The WiFi wouldn't connect to our phones, so the TV didn't work either. I'd paid for a king size bed, but didn't get one at first, and there was no hot water in the suite. We considered moving elsewhere. The rooftop pool was beautiful, quiet, and had plenty of chairs. There was no music or activity, so we read or listened to music on headphones. Towels were available from the lobby, but had to be returned there too. Twice, a worker seemed annoyed that we'd interrupted his show when we brought them back. The front desk staff varied: some days they were pleasant and attentive, other days they ignored us or made us feel like we were bothering them. We've been to Mexico six times in three years, four of them to Playa del Carmen. This was the only hotel where we had to raise concerns or even thought about leaving. The issues might seem small one by one, but as they piled up, I started wondering if the stay was worth it. We probably wouldn't stay here again.

The location is ideal, quiet but close to everything, and I think this is the best building in pdc. I stayed in condo 302b, which had beautiful ocean views, as do the rooftop pools. I love this building!

We left the day after arriving because the water was off for most of the day and then the air started giving us problems. Lots of guests were complaining in the lobby, but the front desk didn't care. It's a nice place, but it isn't managed or maintained well. Our room also had nasty stains on the couch and bedroom bench seat. Don't waste your time.

The building has a great view, but it's dirty and poorly looked after. Half the things around the building are broken or damaged, the pool area is trashed, and the furniture is old and dirty. The elevators constantly smell like rotting food. I got ear infections from the pool and pink eye. This place is gross, and there are much better options in playa. I hope the administration improves things.

We had a horrible stay. Cockroaches and dirt were a problem at the hotel, but the worst part was that 465CAD was taken directly from our safe. We tried to speak with the manager, Melissa, but she refused to meet us. The staff seemed stressed and indirectly acknowledged that this sort of theft had happened before. At first they said they would reimburse us. After we left, they ignored every follow-up attempt. They don't answer calls or emails, and even Expedia couldn't get a response. It's a complete lack of accountability and professionalism. We have pictures, videos, and voice notes as proof and I'm ready to share them with anyone who wants details. This was easily the worst hotel experience we've ever had. If you care about your safety, money, and cleanliness, avoid this place at all costs.
