Solmare Apartments & Suites

Cy and his team made the place feel like a community, and it was easy to meet people at the outdoor gym and pool. The penthouse was huge, clean, and had a lovely balcony. We enjoyed the facilities and felt safe in the area, as others have said. There’s a beach and amenities nearby too. I hope to come back.

Solmare is well placed between Playa del Carmen and Tulum, with beautiful cenotes and caletas just a 10-minute walk away. The facilities are great, everything was clean, and the staff were so friendly. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Quintana Roo.

Solmare has become the only place I want to stay in Akumal. I’ve been three times now, and that first month there was one of the best of my life. The staff made me feel at home and knew all the “secret spots,” so I could see the REAL mexico. The location is amazing, with nature all around, cenotes, and ocean unlike anything I’d seen before. It’s in a gated community, and as a single woman I felt safe running, going out at night, and bringing kids along. Tulum is about 25 min away, close enough for the party scene if you want it, but far enough to enjoy nature away from it. The hotel/apartments are like a huge modern Los Angeles penthouse. The private cenote and beach were stunning, and the community amenities were easy to access. A lovely, peaceful space, full of serenity.
