I felt completely safe and comfortable here, and the people made me feel like family right away. The place is spacious and nicely decorated, with a big kitchen and free drinking water. There’s also a lovely restaurant downstairs. It’s close to 5th Avenue, but I couldn’t hear the loud clubs.

The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and I loved the unusual bed design, it gives the place a nice feel. There are lots of plants, a friendly staff, a good restaurant downstairs, and a handy kitchen on the roof. I really recommend this place. My one complaint is that the female dorm had no lockers. When I asked the manager, he said they weren’t needed because it was a women-only dorm, which didn’t make sense to me. Please put lockers in every dorm, better safe than sorry :)

We picked this mainly for the location, and the room turned out to be really nice too. For the budget, expectations need to be realistic. The shower pressure could be stronger, and there’s hardly any sound insulation, but the street was quiet enough that we slept fine. The fridge was bigger than the ones in hotels usually are, so we could keep plenty of food and drinks in it. Staff were really nice, and you can refill water bottles for free at reception. We didn’t use the other services. Watch out on the narrow stairs to the rooms if you’ve got big bags.

I stayed for a month and it felt a little like home. The rooms are roomy and well equipped, and the rates are especially good for a longer stay. Cafes, bars, and restaurants are all within walking distance, while the hotel is still a bit removed from the busy scene. Great vibes and a lovely staff. I’d recommend it to open-minded travelers, especially anyone hoping to spend a bit longer in Playa del Carmen.

Green Village seemed to have something going on every time I visited, from fairs and art networking to small concerts. I wasn’t staying there, but I went for the salsa classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays on the spacious upstairs terrace. The interiors are appealing, with natural materials mixed elegantly with modern features, and the staff were always nice and helpful. It felt like the place never sleeps. I’d suggest it for active young adults more interested in wellness and personal growth than clubbing.
