The Riviera Maya EDITION At Kanai

The place looks beautiful throughout, and the whole atmosphere felt special and carefully put together from the moment we arrived. Our room, the service, and the experience overall were outstanding. Room service was consistently excellent each night, with generous portions and high-quality dishes. We'd definitely stay again.

I've never felt so well cared for around severe food allergies. The staff already knew about them before I said anything, which made me feel calm right away. KI’IS, the higher end restaurant, served one of the best meals I've ever had, and breakfast was sensational too, with a huge variety and very high quality. This was honestly one of the best hotel stays of my life. The property is stunning, from the pools to the carefully considered details throughout. Most of all, the staff were kind, warm, and attentive. Special thanks to David at the beach and Paco, who went out of their way to make my birthday trip memorable. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Service was the standout. We were added to a WhatsApp chat with Manuel at check-in, and he was available for whatever we needed. Room service arrived promptly and correctly, housekeeping worked around our schedule, and restaurant staff were consistently friendly and attentive. After we mentioned that the massage pressure at the spa wasn't quite right, the services were comped. The next day we booked another massage with the same therapist, and it was fantastic. This Edition matched the predictably exceptional customer service we get at Four Seasons properties. We booked a one bedroom suite with a plunge pool at The Riviera Maya Edition at the last minute for our anniversary. The package included a $300 resort credit and safe, comfortable, convenient airport transfers. We were upgraded at check-in to the Jade Suite, similar to our booking but larger and a bit more private. The room was immaculate and comfortable, with furnishings that were both beautiful and practical. The whole property is meticulously maintained and has distinctive architecture, set in the middle of a mangrove forest. The beachfront was still unappealing despite the staff trying to clean up seaweed. The spectacular pools more than made up for that one thing, which is essentially outside their control. The gym was state of the art, clean, and quiet. Water was freely available in abundance in the room, by the pool, and at the gym. There was no nickel and diming, and room amenities like the clothes steamer felt thoughtful. We had a fantastic luxury experience, and will return and recommend it.

The grounds were so big and beautiful that it felt like a whole new world, and the hotel was gorgeous inside and out. Its architecture reminded me of a Barbie dream house, light, airy, open, and serene. The food was magnificent, and I'd recommend getting your restaurants, snacks, and drinks on the grounds. Everyone was kind, though our room often hadn't been cleaned by the time we returned after being out for 4+ hours. Earlier cleaning would have made this a 5 star stay. If you're deciding between this and the saint regis, I'd pick this for a calmer atmosphere. The saint regis had warmer pools and was more kid friendly. Make use of the golf cart service too, you might catch some lovely sunsets.
