Villa Macarena Apartmentos Boutique - Adults Only

Mafer was a helpful, attentive host, and the property was beautiful and kept clean. We stayed in an ocean view suite with a queen bed. I liked that the bedroom doors and windows closed and the A/C was in that room, which made it quieter and cooler for sleeping. It’s about a 10-minute walk through the community to La Punta beach, and we always felt safe on the way. The apartment had basic kitchen items. I wished we’d had a knife, though we didn’t ask, and maybe they would have provided one. The view from the second floor and above is beautiful. I’d recommend it!

I planned on staying three nights and ended up making it five. The hammocks in the apartments are great, and the rooftop is 🤩🤯. Very relaxed atmosphere and a good location for La Punta. Best stay of my 10-week trip!

The host was so kind and explained everything clearly. The place was beautiful and extremely clean, with La Punta close enough to walk to. Check-in through check-out was a solid 10/10. One of my favorite places in Puerto Escondido, and I highly recommend it.

It’s a beautiful place with lovely views, and the building and rooms are very clean. The beds are short and very firm, though. The complex has a lot of potential, but it feels lazy and focused on saving money. There are no pool towels, no hot-water kettle, and the cooking basics are very cheap and limited. The pots and pans are cheap Teflon, which is horrible for people, so the environmental claims don’t ring true to me when the things they skip seem like money-saving tricks. The pool is murky and dirty, and the pool chairs are dirty too.
