That frozen key lime pie was such a good finish, bright and creamy without feeling heavy. The beet salad was fresh and balanced, and the crispy rice had loads of flavor and texture. My steak was cooked just right, and the brussels sprouts were delicious too. You can really taste the farm-to-table approach. The best thing I ordered was the passion-fruit orange mocktail with coconut cream foam. Honestly, the best mocktail I’ve ever had, and I’m still thinking about it. The whole evening at Acre felt special, from the gorgeous, sexy setting that’s perfect for a date night to the warm, attentive staff. One of my favorite dining experiences ever. I’m already looking forward to coming back.

I spent every day with the rescue pups, taking them for walks and playing with them. It was lovely to see a couple find their forever families while we were there. You can tell the team cares for dogs who need a safe place to recover and grow until they’re adopted. We stayed in one of the treehouses for three days in January 2026, and check-in was smooth. The room felt like a jungle escape, with a great bed and bedding, a bathroom, an outdoor shower, a heated bed for chilly nights, and AC when it got hot. Everyone we met was friendly, capable, professional, and fun to talk to. We ate at the main restaurant twice. Karla and Natalia knew the menu, were efficient without rushing us, and always had time for my husband’s chismes de papa 😆. The food was fresh, bright, inventive, filling, and so good that I’m still dreaming about it a month later. Their Michelin star is well earned, and the whole restaurant team deserves credit. The coffee shop was a lovely spot for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. Carmen looked after us each morning, and the pastries were always fresh and tasty. Thanks to the whole team for making the trip so special. We’ll absolutely be back.

We loved the jungle birds and the lovely setting, but the wedding noise made it impossible to relax. In our treehouse, the music bass vibrated the bed. Earplugs and white noise didn’t come close to muffling it, and sleeping, relaxing, or even talking with my partner was out of the question. It’s frustrating to pay to stay during a wedding when the website presents the place as a quiet, relaxing jungle escape and doesn’t make the events clear when booking. The wedding sounds completely change the experience. There’s so much potential here, and a few simple changes would make it a getaway we’d want to return to. Morning coffee is one example: it’s only available at a restaurant after 7:30 a.m., and there’s confusion about whether coffee and a pastry are included in the continental breakfast or need to be ordered separately. A simple drip coffee station would make things easier for guests and staff.

The staff and food were easily the best parts of our two-night treehouse stay. The place is memorable and makes for great photos, but be clear about what you’re booking. At around $500 a night, I expected more of a luxury feel. You’re basically sleeping outside, with just a net and curtain between you and the elements. We ended up covered in mosquito bites. Wedding music went until 11 p.m. both nights, birds started up around 6 a.m., and the dirt road in is over a mile of very bumpy hillside.

The food at the restaurant was fresh and delicious, and the service was friendly. We also liked the clean, nice room and the little resort’s fun feel. Breakfast isn’t really included, though, since coffee and a pastry are what they count as continental breakfast. We stayed for three nights and two would have been plenty. The first night, wedding and party venues were loud until 1 a.m. We were there for a wedding the second night, but our hosts wrapped up at 10 p.m. The biggest problem in the treehouse was the shelter dogs barking for hours all night. They provide earplugs, but they didn’t help us. Other birds and animals were noisy too, but nothing like dozens of dogs barking nonstop. It left us pretty miserable, so keep it in mind if you plan to sleep here. Also, there is a gym, but guests who aren’t villa owners can’t use it, which is a real bummer.
