Amaris Beach Club

Dog lovers will enjoy this place, as long as their dogs are well behaved. There’s a beach right in front that can be a bit rocky, but the stretch to the right is perfect. The guacamole is great, parking is safe, and the beach chair cushions are clean. Prices are about the same as at other clubs. Drinks are mostly Corona and Victoria, with Michelob ultra sometimes available. I’d only suggest adding Pescadores branded beer. There’s also a massage cabaña with professional maseurs, and I posted the prices below. Don’t come with an aggressive dog. Nearby dogs that live around there sometimes visit, and the owners won’t take kindly to any aggression.

This is a cozy little place tucked among the big resorts. The upstairs house has two bedrooms that can be rented separately, with a shared kitchen, living area, and deck. Each bedroom also has a small setting. There isn’t anywhere else to walk to, since the rest of the area is all large resorts.

If Javier hadn’t been there, I wouldn’t have stayed even one night. I guess the hotel can’t be blamed, but that brown, smelly seaweed is everywhere along the Riviera Maya, and there’s no escaping it. We’re off to Cozumel, where locals say it’s much better. LOVE Cozumel!!!! 😍

The ceviche and shrimp tacos were great, and the staff were nice. The place is right on the beach, with palm trees and loungers just a few steps from the water. There’s parking and the bathroom facilities are nice.
