Costa Divina A1

The house smelled awful, like being surrounded by sewage, and we found scorpions everywhere. Water pressure was low, door knobs were broken, and management brushed off every concern we raised. The listing calls it beachfront, but there was barely any beach. The tide came up a little around 2-3 in the morning, but never enough for that description. We also weren't told about an hourly fee for checking in after 5pm until then. Booking came with extra nonrefundable “HOA” fees that weren't disclosed until check-in. This was the worst experience for my family and me. I would never recommend it, won't return, and wouldn't spend money here.

The golf course staff were among the most professional and courteous I've met, and the Signature Jack Nicholas course is kept in great shape with reasonable prices. The Crane Restaurant there is awesome, too. Costa Divina also gives you spectacular ocean views and privacy, without the persistent vendors trying to sell you things on Sandy Beach. It's still close enough to town to eat, shop, and experience Puerto Penasco's culture and wonderful people. If you want loud neighbors, blaring music, and beer cans around the pool, this probably isn't your place.

The lagoon and golf course make a beautiful backdrop for morning coffee and sunrise, and the ocean views and vivid sunsets are lovely in the evening. There's plenty to do within the gated community, from paddleboarding, windsurfing, and kayaking to beach walks, shell collecting, clam hunting, the pool, and hot tub. It's peaceful, clean, and safe here. I love everything about Costa Divina and am already planning my next trip before a stay is even over. All this beauty really spoils you.

Scorpions kept turning up as if they were trying to get into my room and sleep with me, and I had no idea I was sharing the place with four other residents. The condo smelled like a pig in its own feces, leaked water all over, and looked nothing like the photos. It's the worst condo I've ever set foot in. Don't renovate this place, there are much better options than this monstrosity.
