Playa Bonita

Direct beach access was a big plus, and the facilities were well cared for. The bar and restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere and a good variety, too. Our room was comfortable and very clean, with a lovely ocean view that made the stay feel special. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere at this hotel in Playa Bonita, Puerto Peñasco felt calm and relaxing, just right for disconnecting. The staff were always friendly and attentive, ready to help with a smile. I'd happily come back. It seems great for families or couples wanting peaceful days by the ocean. Highly recommended!

The beach was clean, and the water felt amazing. I appreciated how much attention they paid to accessibility. The wheelchair accessible room was a great ground-floor room, with an accessible shower and bathroom. A ramp down to the beach is right by the pools, and the parking lot is lit, has ramps, and is handicap accessible. Our room was cleaned and restocked daily. Staff were helpful, and there was security throughout the resort.

The location was fantastic, and the hotel and room were clean. Staff were friendly, the pool was great, and the restaurant has a nice ocean view. Reception fixed my blinds promptly after I messaged them on WhatsApp. But the noise was rough. Friday's music went on until 2 am, and even earplugs didn't let me sleep. There were big gaps around the room door, so hallway sounds came right in. I saw the receptionist's screen showing 99% capacity at check-in, and the WiFi couldn't handle the load. It was open, so people on the beach could use it too, and it felt unsafe. Cell service was congested over the holiday weekend as well, so Netflix and video calls weren't an option. There's just one elevator for 124 rooms. The beds were very hard. That's fine for me, though some people may not like it. I paid $425 for two nights and have stayed at better hotels for less. I won't be back after my Easter weekend at Playa Bonita.

Irving made our start to summer at Playa Bonita a great one. He greeted us as soon as we arrived, gave us pretty much our whole itinerary, and had great suggestions for things to do. The trip wouldn't have been nearly as good without him. We'll definitely be back soon!
