Princesa De Penasco III

The whole situation left us very disappointed, especially because my kids saw the police called on their mom. We were staying at Princesa Resort III and came from Utah, hoping our family from nearby Sonoyta could join us at the beach. I asked receptionist Andres/Andrew about visitors. He said they could visit as long as they didn't stay overnight, though they couldn't use the pool. He also said we could ask security about beach access and that our family could say they were eating at the restaurant to get through. We followed his directions, but he called security, and our family was told to leave. Security then said they could go around to reach the beach. Afterward, the family came inside to greet my grandpa, who is 83 and hadn't gone down to the beach. Andres called security again, saying we were breaking the rules, even though he'd told me visitors were okay if they weren't staying. A condo owner told us Princesa was known for situations like this, where customers are misled, removed, and charged for the remaining nights while the condos are rented to someone else. I can't verify that, but it made the experience even worse. We also felt watched. As I walked toward the condo, a security guard came toward me, then stopped and tried to hide; the rest of our family was behind me, and it felt like they were monitoring every move. If visitors aren't allowed, they should just say so instead of telling us to claim we're eating at the restaurant. I wouldn't recommend this place, and I don't think guests should rely on the receptionist's information based on what happened to us.

It’s right by the beach, quiet, and good for kids. The resort may not be among the newest, but we loved it and would book again.

The views are excellent, and the property itself is beautiful and well located, with nice rooms. The AC didn't have enough power. Smoking and vaping are banned across the property, and security actively patrols, so smokers have to leave the grounds completely. We also got a bad attitude from more than one full-time owner who lives there. It wasn't a terrible stay, but I wouldn't make it my first choice next time.

The restaurant was so good, and the whole place was clean and organized. Hospitality was awesome. Everything was excellent!
