Bay View Modern Condo Paramount Bay At Amapas

Penthouse 5 by Naya Homes has plenty of space, a lovely design, and a nice private pool on the top floor. We liked how it looked in the photos, and the building and grounds are very attractive. But there was no music or fun allowed by the pool, and residents would report you for being noisy. The unit itself felt neglected, with dusty or broken walls and bathroom shelves, a patio door that wouldn't slide shut and lock, and a refrigerator door that didn't close properly. Most sinks had no hand soap. During our stay, the building water was shut off twice, and we also lost power for a few hours one day. One security guard was consistently rude to our Uber drivers. We understood it wasn't a hotel and were renting someone's home, so we tried to overlook the smaller problems. The major issue was the upstairs air conditioner leaking water and leaving a mess on the floor every day. I contacted both the concierge and the Airbnb host right away. They said they'd handle it, but over the next five days they didn't. I kept messaging and requesting help, and they said they needed to ask the owner. They only apologized for the inconvenience. The concierge came once and put down towels that we'd used on the floor. They suggested I use another part of the penthouse, as if I hadn't thought of that. We paid for three bedrooms and wanted to use them. It felt like they were making excuses and didn't care. A maintenance worker came to clean the pool and looked at the air conditioner, but said he couldn't fix it because it was under warranty and the owners wanted the manufacturer's service person to handle it. We had paid in full, but the daily water on the floor meant we couldn't enjoy our stay. I believe it was a basic drain line problem that could have been cleared, but we didn't have the tools, and at the price we paid, we shouldn't have had to do it ourselves. I wouldn't recommend this unit, PH5, the property, or Naya Homes. If you want a peaceful, relaxing vacation, look elsewhere.
