Casa Las Amapas

The people who looked after us were mostly wonderful. Viviana cooked delicious meals, Luis and Adan were thoughtful waiters who took great care of us, Rosy kept the house spotless, and Lázaro, one of the night watchmen, was dedicated and helpful. The other watchman, who was there for the last two nights, wouldn't deal with the people disturbing the peace in the middle of the night. There were several problems with the property. The patio doors had huge gaps and didn't seal properly, so the rooms felt uncomfortably humid. The air conditioners stopped working properly, and the one in the master bedroom still hadn't been fixed when we left. People came at all hours to the small dirt road between the house and ocean and played LOUD music. We suggest closing that road after hours, since there's no reason for people to be there after 10pm. Fireworks also went off in nearby areas many nights. And yes, you read this right: toilet paper can't go in the toilet. After wiping, you have to put it in an open, lidless trash can. Sadly, I can't recommend this property.

Being tucked away while still close to the city made this place feel beautiful. The staff were so accommodating, Marco made the best margaritas, and Viviana's cooking was fabulous. Best vacation ever!

This is my third time here. I absolutely love the people, the staff are lovely, very courteous, helpful, and friendly.
