There's a lot of room to hang out and meet people, the beds have old but working fans, the toilets were always clean, and the bartender was genuinely nice. The owner seemed nice too. The location is great and the place has a unique look. I hope they get the small details sorted out someday, because it could be a great place. The free “breakfast” never seemed to be enough, even with just a few guests. It was corn flakes, white bread, two eggs, and good coffee. Staff seemed fine if you spoke Spanish, but otherwise I wouldn't ask them for help. There are two men's showers: one had lukewarm water, and one had a towel hook. No bathroom had shelves, so you had to leave everything on the gross floor. Only one bathroom had a working light. The owner doesn't take care of the little things that matter. If you expect absolutely nothing, you might still be pleasantly surprised, thanks to the very good, inexpensive massage place across the street, not the hostel. Have a massage, THEY are very professional 👍🏼. Just don't expect the hostel to be great this year.

Each bed has its own fan, which keeps you cool without AC and makes some white noise to cover your roommates' sounds. For the price, you can hang out with cool people just one block from the malecon. There's a rooftop bar where it's easy to meet people with similar interests. If that still isn't enough, rent an all-inclusive for god's sake.

Best place around, with a nice location and a very comfortable stay. The owner is really friendly and has a great personality. My friend, I hope to see you at Evropa. I invited you to my home. Mi casa es tu casa!!!

It was really hot and humid, and sleeping through a week of that was rough. They should invest in air conditioning. There was also a cockroach in my dorm when I arrived, and I got three stings on my leg.

The staff made sure my boyfriend and I had a great time during our two nights here. Everyone was super friendly, and the facilities were convenient. It's in a great downtown location, and I'd definitely recommend the hostel to my friends. Just keep in mind there's no AC in the rooms, so it can get a little hot. Each bed has a fan next to it, which helped and made the heat less of an issue.
